Go forth and spread the seed of love!

What is Love?

The dictionary defines love as a profoundly, tender, passionate affection for another person.

The Bible definition is a little more like this



1 Corinthians 13
 1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

So can any one us say that we truly love completely? By the world's view of love we definitely can! The world's view of love doesn't add up to all that God intended love to be. Does God expect us to be able to love in all the ways 1 Corinthians lists? I think he knows that we aren't going to be able to do EVERYTHING but he does want us to at least grasp the concept of how he feels for us and in turn we should do the best we can to be like Him in as many ways as we can.

God is the only person with perfect true love for each and every one of us. God IS love. We are to live by example of Jesus. Pure, Holy, Full of unselfish Love!

We can not fully love if we harbor hatred in ourselves. Work on getting out negative feelings towards others so that you can fully experience God's love for you!! How can we love God with all of our heart, soul and mind if we have so many selfish worldly desires in us! Our life on earth is a battle between our body and our heart, soul and mind! If we love God completely we trust Him with our life on earth. We know we will have many trials in life but also know God is there for support, comfort, for confiding in. God NEVER fails. We fail Him EVERY day of our lives but he is always there to love us and to forgive us. We need to live by example of Jesus and try to strive every day to be more like him, to show more of His qualities in ourselves. Be examples to our friends, neighbors, families and strangers!

The best part is that God does love you, every part of you. He loves all the good parts and the bad parts of you. He will never stop loving you. Let him encompass you in his love and you will find ways to spread that love in all areas of your life!
